For the cost of an e-mail address, EELS are offering a downloadof the track “Little Bird” from their new record, End Times,” in anticipation of the album’s release on January 19 via Vagrant Records. Get it here: Less than six months after releasing Hombre Lobo, the EELS have announced the tracklist and album art for their eighth studio album, End Times, which will be available on January 19th, 2010. Tracklist: I’m sitting in a Las Vegas hotel room rocking some EELS “Mr. E’s Beatiful Blues,” cranking out the work to this view of the Hilton’s golf course with desert mountains in the background and thinking that it is indeed a “beautiful day”… And then I get this e-mail: The eighth EELS studio album, entitled END TIMES, [...] The MySpace Transmission Sessions is featuring a performance by EELS leader Mark Oliver Everett (E.) with five (5!) downloadable tracks. It’s a nice little EP, especially if you’ve ever seen EELS live. The complete session including a 6th song, “The Longing,” is being released on limited edition 12″ vinyl Sept. 1, now available for pre-order [...] Hombre Loco is out June 2.
