The William Blakes bring you the best in Danish music

williamblakesReceived a pitch for The William Blakes‘ new album, Wayne Coyne boasting: “in their home country…an album that was heralded as the best Danish release in years,” and I knew instantly I had to hear it.

For some reason, I’m fascinated by Danish culture and the language, but I’m not extremely familiar with their music.

First off, the band took their name from the poet William Blake (1757 – 1827). Then they named their album after the The Flaming Lips. And they’re from Denmark. One of these things is not like the other.

Ladies and gentlemen, the best in Danish music:
The William Blakes : “Secrets of the State” (mp3)

RIYL Talking Heads, Tears For Fears, Midlake.

Obviously unfamilar. The Dutch are in an entirely different country, Holland, not Denmark.
  • Ack! Good catch :)
