Iowa City native Jason Reeves dropped out of college and moved to LA to pursue a career as a performing songwriter. It paid off, and now he’s touring in support of his major label debut, The Magnificent Adventures of Heartache (and other Frightening Tales), on Warner Bros (iTunes, Amazon).
Jason Reeves : “You in a Song” (it’s a .wax stream, sorry)
Unfortunately, being signed to a big label like Warner Bros. means you have to abide by their crappy policy of not allowing you to share mp3s with your fans. But watching him play it live acoustically is perhaps even better:
Jason Reeves hits Minneapolis’ Varsity Theater on Monday, October 27 opening for the hair-challenged Tyrone Wells.
I managed to get my grubby hands on two tickets… so quick, leave a comment with something clever, and I’ll have the intern pull a random name out of the proverbial hat and mail them to you.

WAHOO! I am *ridiculously* excited to finally attend a Jason Reeves show! I became a fan a couple of years ago during the Colbie/Jason song days prior to Colbie getting signed. We are oh-so-lucky to have Jason Reeves in Minneapolis. Thank you so much (in advance) for making the trek. I am looking forward to the show!
