Yes: The Directors Cut features two complete concerts taken from Yes‘ 2003 European tour.
Disc 1 was recorded in Birmingham UK and is mixed with mini interviews of the band, including commentary on the group’s formation, picking a name (not “The Yes,†thank you) and more.
My favorite part was legendary keyboardist Rick Wakeman discussing how we joined the band by accepting a ride – too classic! Disc 2 an outdoor show from the Glastonbury Festival.
While I could argue 2003 wasn’t exactly Yes’ peak year, this 256 minutes could make every diehard Yes fan say “We Have Heaven” right here.
