GAH. MGMT suck live though. It’s unfortunate because they really have some killer catchy tunes. Live = one of the worst shows I have ever seen. I hope they clean up their act before coming back to Mpls. Sighs.

That’s horrible to hear. Especially because the Roy has such crappy acoustics.

seconding the “mgmt suck live”. I just saw them in boston and it was like bad wedding band plays mgmt. laughable. they even sang to a track for the finale. even the drunk hipster audience was like “wtf?”

I was at the Concert in St. Paul and MGMT sounded pretty good, I thought. When I was listening from outside the auditorium, the vocals sounded bad, but inside they sounded good. Also, the guitar solos were really good. Definitely worth the money.

I heard they were so-so. The Roy’s acoustics are so horrible, though…it’s almost a handicap. With that said, I’ve heard Mars Volta and White Stripes play through it. I heard the pot smoke was pretty thick - true?
