Ed Harcourt releases his fifth studio album, The Beautiful Lie, in the US today on Dovecote Records.
The British Mercury Prize nominee recorded the bulk of the album on an eight-track in his dear old grandma’s house in Sussex. No word if she was dressed up like the wolf from Little Red Riding Hood, but that’s what I like to imagine. Although I’m trying not to, I’m really enjoying this album. It’s fresh and spicy, just like a homemade apple pie cooked in a woodfire oven.
