This is Rachel, your old Hy-Vee co-worker. I’m living in Des Moines now and I came up to St. Paul for this show. I was trying to find any reviews or articles about the concert and google led me to PP.com! I hope you are doing well. I had an excellent time at the show (my first TMV show actually). Glad to see the site still going strong =)

And what a night it was. A great introduction-style review for those who wouldn’t understand if you started to mention the words Cavalettas, Ouroboros, Askepios, Aberinkula (all song titles from the new album).

My wife and I didn’t listen to anything on the way home either. What’s the point? When you listen to The Mars Volta, you get the satisfaction of listening to the style of many bands… rather than just one.

Most ambitious band in the world.
