Hello Tokyo: Sell The Stars

hellotokyosellstarscover.JPGToday the Brooklyn power-pop feminine experience known as Hello Tokyo are releasing their debut LP, Sell The Stars.

Hello Tokyo : “Steady the Gun” (mp3)

Less angry than Metric, less cool than No Doubt, less genuine than Rilo Kiley, Hello Tokyo is short on lots of things.

I do recommend the two and half minute, Eurythmics-influenced track “Intimidate Me” for a good summer, mix however.

  • I actually don't think Kat has that great of a range. But I guess if you're comparing this to pop from the 90s, you would probably love them. Good for you.
  • Jesse
Are you kidding me..It's been a long time since I've heard a real singer, female or male. This girl can sing, and the songs remind me of the 90's, which is my favorite era. They rock and you're crazy.
