When we reviewed Michigan quintet’s Every Avenue’s EP this summer, Ah!, we quickly recognized the catchy, Warped-style punk pop ala Plain White T’s, All Time Low and Fall Out Boy that’s so popular with those damned kids.
But the difference between the Ah! EP and Shh LP is five more songs that found me hitting “skip” searching for something less formulaic, less high school anthemy and more balls out punk.
Didn’t happen.
Meanwhile, the boys just got picked up on the Warped Smartpunk Stage July 9, 2008 to July 26, 2008. Guess we’ll miss them in Minneapolis on Aug. 3.
