It’s no secret I really dig the Raleigh/Durham music scene. The latest band to hit my radar are Megafaun, who are actually Durham transplants via Eau Claire. In fact, the three guys who make up the trio used to be in DeYarmond Edison with Justin Vernon (Bon Iver). Yes!

Incestuousness aside, the trio drop their debut album, Bury the Square, next Tuesday and will soon be supporting AND playing as part of Akron/Family on their way to SXSW.

So catch them at the SXSW Table of the Elements showcase (Th, March 13th @ Hideout Theatre), and then follow their own North American tour coming in April and May.
