Review: Nathaniel Seer : Songs of Hate

songsofhatethumb.jpgNathaniel Seer
Songs of Hate
Label: Chestnut Tree Records

Indiana singer/songwriter Nathaniel Seer sings sweet solemn soliloquies for Saturday snoozes.

Songs of Hate, his new album out over the weekend (who has a Saturday release date?) muses on radios with feelings, searching for sacred truths and religious crusade with breathy refrains, rambling walkabouts and bluesy hooks.

Despite the name, it’s much more upbeat than his 2006 release, The Killing Task, which left us crying in the fetal position for three days.
