Led Zeppelin : Anti-Mothership

Apple iTunes

We do not advocate the purchase of Led Zeppelin’s new Mothership, which is being conveniently released around their reunion gigs and features only 24 songs “handpicked by band members”…that doesn’t include “The Ocean.”
Blech. Don’t you people know that for the cost of a few more CDs you can purchase the entire catalog on iTunes? We’re a big fan of listening to music as albums - especially our LZ.

So here’s a link to the 165-track, 13 album remastered digital box set for $99.99.  That’s an insane price, considering we snapped up each album one by one for probably $15 each back in the day. Yes, if you purchase it via this link we’ll get approximately $.03, but that’s not why we’re pushing you on it.

Rather, let us extol this blessed line of music blog love: Led Zeppelin is arguably the greatest rock and roll band of all time on so many levels (sound, songwriting, epic influence, partying), and it would be so so sad to see our favorite band of all time denigrated to a “Best of.
