The Good Life
Help Wanted Nights
Release Date: September 11, 2007
Label: Saddle Creek Records
We’re a huge fan of Omaha’s Tim Kasher, Cursive and his solo project, The Good Life.
Recorded as the soundtrack to a screenplay Kasher started writing in 2006 (recently completed), the tracks on Help Wanted Nights were recorded as holistically as possible. The result is a stripped down indie folk rock sound further showcasing Kasher’s brilliance as a lyricist and songwriter.
Check out these two tracks off the album:
The Good Life : “You Don’t Feel Like Home To Me” (mp3)
The Good Life : “Heartbroke” (mp3)
Look for The Good Life to return to Minneapolis’ Triple Rock Social Club Thursday, Sept. 27 with Capgun Coup.
Although it’s the early, all-ages show, for those of you disappointed by Cursive’s last stop in the Twin Cities, be assured they won’t be playing at 6 p.m. Hell, New Model Army’s visas were denied, so it doesn’t even look like there will be a late show.
