Raw, flawed and recorded on the fly, Tremble and Shake’s new self-titled EP is 7 tracks of soulful chaos. The Minneapolis group’s sound is reminiscent of a lot of tunes coming from the LA hills these days (e.g., Grand Ole Party) with a bluesy female singer over a raucous drum beat and grating guitars. This is damn good.
Order the CD direct through the group for $5. They have some local shows coming up we highly recommend, including PI (lesbian bar) on May 15th, an (unconfirmed) show at Turf on May 23rd (with ex. Bullets band The Dialones), Bedlam Theatre on June 12.
