We got an advance copy of Great Northern’s forthcoming album, Trading Twilight for Daylight (Eenie Meenie Records), just prior to SXSW.
Tracks like “lOw IS a hEIghT” and “hOMe” quickly stood out as haunting melodic pop tracks the mass public could get their heads around while possessing enough intrinsic musical value for the rest of us.
They were spectacular live. The album drops May 15 - lookout for it.
