
Kaiser Chiefs have released a stream of their lead single, “Ruby,” in advance of their sophomore effort, Yours Truly, Angry Mob, which drops on March 27th (Universal).

–The Postmarks, a Floridian Brian Wilson-meets-French pop group, have their debut album slated for Feb. 6 (Unfiltered Records) and recently hit #13 on the CMJ Top 200.
–Virgin Records is re-releasing Meds, the newest album by London-based alt-rock trio PLACEBO on January 23, 2007, the label announced. The album was originally released in the U.S. earlier in 2006 through the Astralwerks label. Here’s our review.

–Sweden’s Peter Bjorn And John, having already garnered acclaim on both sides of the big pond (that’s a term for ocean, people). And the group have a new disc dropping on Feb. 6, Writer’s Block, featuring the track “Young Folks,” which was named one of the top 5 songs of 2006 by Pitchfork and the NME. The band will also perform on NBC’s Late Night with Conan O’Brien on January 29th.
