The Peel Sessions 1991-2004
Label: Island

Like every truly great musician, perhaps John Peel has become even more popular after his passing last October. And those artists blessed to appear and record on his show are finding a new market for their live, stripped down material.

With PJ Harvey’s Peel Sessions, Polly chose 12 tracks spanning across her entire career - from early versions of the songs on debut album Dry (1992) up to her seventh album Uh Huh Her (2004).

Tracklisted chronologically, the disc ends with “You Come Through,” which was recorded at the Peel tribute after his death. It’s a must buy for any PJ Harvey fan, but definitely not an introduction to Polly if you aren’t already familiar.
