Exit Columbia Street
Brooklyn’s Pela released their second EP, Exit Columbia Street, a couple months ago. Overall, it’s a strong 7-track EP (would 8 tracks make it an LP?) that Jamie Stewart (Xiu Xiu) borrowed a page from Bono’s notebook.
Track 5, “Cavalry,” is what we like to hear, though. Strong choral background vocals, swirling drums, grating guitar…mmmm..Red Hookerrific. We don’t have that one to share, so here’s the single and a CWL remix:
