Start with a good foundation and build up. That’s what L.A.’s synth-pop group Shiny Toy Guns have done with their old demo thanks to Universal’s keen touch on unpolished throwback groups.

Originally released on Southwest in 2005, We Are Pilots has been remastered with new sounds, songs and re-worked versions of several of the songs on the original demo.

A blend of female and male-driven 80s new wave flavor, We Are Pilots is one Coke line away from ecstasy. And considering their biggest claim to fame is performing “Nothing Compares 2 U” on Redline Records’ 2006 Electro Goth Tribute to Prince, we’re glad they’re getting the publicity push they deserve.
