The Whigs, hailing from God’s musical paradise=Athens, GA, signed their self-produced college record to ATO Records and are releasing it this week.
It’s pretty straightforward 90s indie rock but it’s Parker Gispert’s raspy, emotive vocals that kill us. From Dave Grohl to Eddie Vedder to Lou Reed, every track has a different favorite influence pop up. Definitely worth picking up, as you just never know who’ll show up on their next album.
