Steeping influences from nu-metal (Korn’s Take a Look in the Mirror-era), funk/rap metal (311, Linkin Park) and punk revival (My Chemical Romance), Calgary-based Neurosonic have a refreshing modern rock sound and lyrical approach. Man, we just can’t believe some of the talent coming out of Canada these days.

Progressive songwriting makes the entire album worth spinning, and the lyrics aren’t stupid emo/punk crap either. For instance, “So Many People” takes on the Saturday Night Live Ashley Simpson lip-syncing debacle and dumbing down of Top 40 popular artists.
