In the fall of 2005, Minneapolis indie rock group Tasha’s Laughter headed into Vaudeville Studios to record the first half of their debut album with engineer Jeff Halland (Houston, Dogshine). While the band is still putting the final touches on the album, due out in late spring/early summer, they’ve made two tracks, “Bent” and “Small Towne Louts,” available for download on their Web site here.
With clear influences from Smashing Pumpkins, The Cure, Radiohead, 12 Rods, Guided By Voices, Faith No More, The Beatles and others, these two tracks are widely different and hopefully just a precursor for what’s to come. The group is currently booking gigs for late-winter. Keep on eye on their Web site for details
