Tarantula A.D. no shows last night

November 30th, 2005 · No Comments

Tarantula A.D. crashed their van due to the weather in Montana and didn’t make their show at the 400 Bar last night! Damn! According to Tom, they’d canceled their Iowa City date and probably their Chicago gig tonight due to a broken axle.

Opening band Iota did manage to make it to Mpls for their gig. I’m confused about where they’re from, if they’re local or just a smaller touring band. I can’t find them on the Web at all looking locally or internationally (only the Australian Iota comes up, and this wasn’t them). Iota’s stuff was a mix of Toad the Wet Sprocket meets Better Than Ezra nineties-dom. Some good songs in there, although they have some serious tempo issues on almost every song.

Anyway, it was a good free show for a Tuesday until they broke out the Brittany Spears and Van Halen covers. Then it was time to leave.
