From helping to launch Ronnie James Dio’s solo career, to Whitesnake to the last 15 years swinging the axe for Def Leppard, wiley Irishman Vivian Campbell offers blues classics from Rory Gallagher, Willie Dixon and Robert Johnson with a raspy Irish vocal on his official solo debut, Two Sides of If.

For those of us who can’t get enough of the blues standards, it’s a great tribute to those artists whom Campbell emulated to become what the guitar saint he is today. And this album is worth it just for Billy Gibbons’ (ZZ Top) contribution, “Willin’ for Satisfaction.” If you love traditional blues with a twist, check it out.
