Death Cab For Cutie
Plans
Available: August 30, 2005
Label: Atlantic Records
Yesterday marked Seattle-based Death Cab for Cutie’s sixth full-length album release and major label debut, “Plans,” on Atlantic Records.
The follow-up to 2003’s much praised Transatlanticism, Plans is sure to please diehard fans and the label is hoping it will attract the masses with its “delectable pop gems.” We’ll see.
Like previous outings, Plans is produced, recorded and mixed by DCfC’s own Chris Walla. The first single, “Soul Meets Body,” showcases Ben Gibbard’s unique vocal styling within a haunting, keyboard-laden groove.

REAL
It’s nothing flashy, but the floating notes do keep you watching. You know how bees can see ultraviolet light (that we can’t)? What if dogs could see music, and it totally freaked them out? That’s my takeaway from the video.
Tour dates coming up:
September 24 - Austin, TX - Austin City Limits Festival
October 3 & 4 - Vancouver - Commodore Ballroom
